
Project 3 [ Repair case of RO film scaling in a certain electronics factory]
Problem findings : The RO system has problems such as decreasing water production and desalination rate. It was found that a large amount of scale substances were deposited on the surface of the RO film.
Cause analysis : The hardness ions in the water source combine with anions such as carbonate and sulfate to form insoluble salt precipitates, which accumulates on the surface area of the RO membrane and leads to blockage of membrane pores.
Maintenance measures
* Cleaning RO film: Use professional cleaning agents for chemical cleaning, control the concentration and cleaning time of cleaning agents to avoid secondary damage to the membrane.
* Switch scale inhibitor: Select the corresponding scale inhibitor based on the characteristics of water quality. It adopts chelation technology and dispersion properties to inhibit the formation of hard ions.
* Economic benefits: After switching the scale inhibitor, the electronics factory reduced the number of RO film replacements and repair costs.
